Help us BEAT THE BISH!

August 19, 2025

LIVE WELLington has launched a game and a fundraising appeal - we want New Zealanders around the country to send a message to the Minister for RMA Reform, that he can't shut down local voices.  Help us BEAT THE BISH!

As anyone involved in a community group or involved in local politics knows, the Government has been progressively taking away the rights of local people to have a say – through things like the Fast Track bill and housing legislation that sets nationwide planning rules for cities and towns.

To raise awareness of this (and raise funds for our own legal bills) LIVE WELLington has made a fun game called BEAT THE BISH that involves everyday New Zealanders trying to escape attacks from Minister Chris Bishop.

The game is intended to be light-hearted and funny, but with a political message behind it. It's free to play!

Our hope is that those who enjoy the game will show their thanks by donating something to our Givealittle page – even if it’s as little as $10 - and leave their own message for Chris Bishop.

We want to harness the frustration many people across the whole country feel about Ministers like Chris Bishop steamrolling over local communities.

We'll pass the best comments people make onto the Minister at the end.  Let's start a movement!  Let's BEAT THE BISH.

Please try the game: BEAT THE BISH!

Please donate what you can.

And very importantly, please pass onto your friends and acquaintances, and encourage them to do the same - this is a numbers game and we want to reach as many people as possible.
